Corvette C2

This event aims to recreate the early to mid sixties of saloon car racing where giants and minis shared the track.

Iconic cars and drivers where made in this era. Racing greafs such as Jack Sears, Dan Gurney, Alan Mann and F1 ace Jim Clark all raced in this period.

Iconic cars such as the Mk2 Jag where the top dog or should I say cat in the early sixties however they quickly became outclassed when a American impala and Galaxies arrived. Meanwhile the Europeans went a different direction sending humble saloons to the likes of Cooper and Lotus. Alfa also fine tuned their saloons with the in-house Auto Delta.

You could say this was  the birth of the homologation special.

America fought back against the nimble new specials with lighter but still powerful Ford Falcon and Mustang.

Our series pits 5 of these icons against each other in an organised class structure.

Each class has its own championship l, but also everyone scores towards the overall championship based on finishing class position.

If a class has 1 car only half points will be rewarded.

A drop score system is in place so everyone must drop 1 round from there points tally this allows for people to miss races if life is busy and means more chance of people being in with a chance at the end.

Prizes will be rewarded to the overall champion and also a raffle prize, to be in the raffle 50% of the races must be completes.

The champion will get first pick of his 2 prize minis

The remaining two will be raffled to any competitor who completes 50% of the races via a lucky draw

There is a very small amount of time in it for me, I can shave about  .050 and certainly think maggots there is a quicker line if only I could stay on it.
